I filed bankruptcy a couple years ago. This bankruptcy has been discharged. However my ex wife co signed on a loan for a vehicle while we were married. I filed the bankruptcy after the divorce. It has been discharged and I am free of this debt. My ex wife wants to take me to civil court for this loan because since I filed bankruptcy they then came after her the co signer. Is she able to sue me for this and win?

We are separated, but want to file a joint bankruptcy. We live in 2 different states and I know it can be done, but my question is which state do we chose? Is it where the children are for primary custody? where the husband lives? or does it even matter? thanks!

My bankruptcy is being discharged next week. I want to apply for credit to rebuild my history and hopefully buy another house in 5 - 7 years.
How long do I need to wait to apply? Can anybody recommend any secured credit cards?

I know you can’t usually include student loans in a bankruptcy, but what if a person files for chapter 7 and then wants to go back to school? Will they be able to get loans for school?

I work for a company that I believe will file bankruptcy soon. We are on a 4 year union contract. Dose the company legally have the right to renegotiate our wages before the contract is up?
Thanks John. What if the employees say no way to a cut in pay? Then what do they do?

I am needing to file a Chapter 7 bk soon. I am wondering how much money I am going to spend for my attorney. I want to pay it all cash up front to get it done and out of the way. Any suggestions for bankruptcy attorneys in San Diego, CA?
